Hi
Anyone have a good way to get to the fiting to remove and replace the hose feeding hydraulic oil to the backhoe? I see no way to get to the fitting unless I remove the loader control valve. the engineer's have out done themself's again.

Charlie.

How about using offset wrenches? I had to do that with my backhoe. Also needed to remove a couple of other lines in order to access the one I needed to change as I recall.

Thanks for the reply I did try the offset wrench, just no room to work. by the way I forgot the tractor is a ford model 1920 built in 1995. If they had made the port on the valve body extended about 1 inch it would have made replacing the hose a 15 minute job.

I need an easy button

Looks like you need a set of hydraulic wrenches. Hydraulic wrenches are offset and thinner for those hard to reach spots.

Or maybe a Crow Foot Wrench. Use them with an extension on your socket ratchet drive. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-2575-8-Inch-Crowfoot-10-Piece/dp/B000NPUJNA/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_b[/ame]

Hi
I tried all those tools, just no room. but while i was finishing breakfast my wife was able to get a wrench on the nut enough to break it free, I was then able to turn the hose and back it out. Had a new hose made and bought an adaptor to screw into the valve body with a swivel nut I could screw the hose into. used a deep socket to screw the adaptor into the valve body atached the hose to the fitting which is now about 1.0 2.0 inches below the valve body where I can use 2 wrenches to tighten.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. I thing I will have to start letting my wife help me more often.

Charlie.
