I have a hydraulic leak in a rigid steel tube that goes between my hydraulic pump and my transmission on a Ford 1320 tractor. The tube has a banjo fitting on either end. The front half of the tube is in good shape, but the back half is quite rusty. Is there a type of connection that I could use if I cut away the back half of the tube and connect a rubber hydraulic hose with a banjo fitting to replace the damaged section? Preferably a repair that could be done without removing the tube from the tractor as the front connection will require quite a bit of disassembly of the tractor.

Thanks, Scott

Do a search (here and Google) for "swagelok" fittings. You will have to be able to accurately measure the tubing size.

you could get compression hyd fittings to get to rubber.. or weld/braze on fittings to do the same...
