The Deere OEM seats of this type (vinyl over open cell foam) are actually really nice, and really comfortable. If there's any complaint about them at all, it'd be that your ass sweats a bit in summer, as vinyl doesn't breathe. But being yellow, they never get hot in the sun, which is nice.
I might follow @KennyG's advice, and pick up a cover for the new seat. It certainly would help the breathability / sweaty ass problem in summer, but I just anticipate it being a "drag" sliding on and off the seat, as the seat and steering wheel sit uncomfortably close when you take your weight off of the seat suspension. I've never owned any other tractor where the seat suspension has even half the travel of this machine, the damn thing must come up more than 9 inches when you try to stand up.
New seat has already shipped, so I guess they had stock, after all.
