Guys, I’ve searched but not pulling anything up.
I’m trying to find a quality replacement seat for a Grand L 3130. Can any one recommend a quality seat?

OEM Kubota seats are stupid expensive.. and not worth the price.

I had to replace the seat on my Open Station M9. Bought a cordura covered Talon seat with adjustable lumbar and armrests from Rural King and then ordered a new low mount suspension from K&M (they also sell seats including Grammar). Seats are all made to ISO specs today so the mounts on any seat will align with the holes in any seat base. 100% bolt up and that will include a self contained air ride seat base if you want to go that route. The air ride seat bases (with self contained 12 volt compressor start at about 1000 bucks. I went with adjustable spring suspension, much cheaper.

I have the full Grammar air ride swivel seat base and Grammar cordura seat with armrests and lumbar plus the swivel base in my cab Kubota, came with it new.

For me, Rural King has the best price on Talon Seats and K&M has the best price on seat bases.

I dislike the vinyl covered seats Kubota comes with. Vinyl seats = a sweaty butt on a hot day. I don't do sweaty butt well.

Lets see, I paid 150 for the Talon from Rural King (delivered) and 125 from K&M for the spring suspension, delivered. If I was ever to replace the Grammar in the cab tractor, it would be with a Talon. Personally, I find the Talon to be much more comfortable than the Grammar. Like I said, they are all built to ISO specs (mounting arrangement) today so they all interchange.

Interestingly, the seat depicted on the Grammer supplier site isn't the seat I have in my M9 Cab. Mine has a built in adjustable headrest and there is no cutout in the front either. Maybe they changed the design.

Maybe Northern Hydraulics may have something.
Northern sells K&M but K&M is less on their company website. Used to buy a fair amount from them many years ago when they were primarily chainsaw and wood related. Good for bars, chains and other stuff chainsaw related but that went by the wayside.

I bought a cordura seat cover from Durafit for $40. Covers and protects the vinyl seat and no sweaty butt.

Thanks guys…. I was hoping to get away with just changing the seat itself but I found out today the mechanical suspension is broken too.

So long as you can get it at your local dealer it's all good. I've found out before (from dealing with Messicks) that their ship cost is excessive.
I recently ordered it from my local kubota dealer. Kubota had lots of stock on the seats and it arrived at the dealership in a couple of days. No covid delays surprisingly. And no shipping charges.

I do the same with parts I require from my dealer. So long as they include what I need with their stock order, there is no shipping cost.

In my view, vinyl seats in anything went out in the early 60's with cars. Much more advances and weather resistant fabrics that withstand the test of time out there today, Cordura is one and Talon covers all their replacement seats with it far as I know.

Took apart the mechanical suspension today. Looks like I may be able to order some of the parts I need to fix it from Missicks. Just the suspension from Kubota is over $800 not including the seat! Crazy!

Too bad I tossed the Kubota working seat suspension out with the rubbish or I would have given you the parts. It was a heavy piece too. You enjoy Missickis shipping charges too.
