replacement hitch arms - deutz allis

Hi, I'm new to the forum and tractors. I'm about to acquire a 1986 Deutz Allis 5230 with FEL and Massey backhoe attachment (subframe type) from a relative of mine. He's never had the backhoe off in the 11 years he's owned it and obviously has never used the 3 point hitch, which is missing the arms (stabilizers?). Can anyone tell me if the 3 point hitch arms are model specific or universal? I've read on this forum that parts for this model can be expensive or hard to find. If the parts vary by manufacturer, is there an online retailer that fabricates the stabilizer arms?

The best way to get the parts that you need would be to get them at an Ag salvage yard. They will be less expensive that way and you could purchase all the parts as a unit. When you start getting a part here and a pin there, the cost really adds up.

Take your tractor with you to an ag salvage yard, that way you can see if the arms interfere with the tires. I bought a set from a yard in PA for $100.00
