Replace entire deck?

I've inherited a 16-42z mower that I've got running well, however the front edge of the deck has been beaten to death. It's bent in and cracked numerous places. I've looked around online but I don't see anyone selling replacement deck assemblies??

I would be to cheep for that, I would get it as straight as I could and weld the cracks and go at it. Ed

Those mower deck replacements usually do NOT come with spindles so you have to use yours from the old deck or buy new ones. It will be in the neighborhood of $700 when you finish with that one you listed. I priced a 54" deck for a John Deere and it was $1200 without spindles, just the pressed steel deck, so yours is fairly reasonable. I took a welding torch to mine to fill in the holes and add stiffener plates rather than spend the $$$$$ to replace.
