I remember 45 years ago while living in central Louisiana...

Hunting one day, I shot an old 600 plus pound boar...the older guy I was with came huffing up to see what I shot.

"We gots to run, they'll bury us both under the jailhouse for shootin' a free range hawg!!!" he said...

And so we did! Two scared critters afraid of being shot.

I didn't know anything about free range at the time. I thought it was just a wild pig, and I was seeing bacon and pork chops in my future.

I was so ignorant...in lots of ways!
