Kubota L4200
I have a L4200, probably built in 1998 or so. It has a cab. Are these aftermarket? It is Kubota orange and I see a roll over placard that says Kubota behind the seat, but I don't know if that is just the rollover, or the cab. Any ideas of where to look for cab mfg. info? Here's the problem I think the ac clutch went out. It is a Denso compressor. Easy enough to repair. But the bottom pulley that powers the ac looks like someone chewed off the outer flange. What could cause that? Obviously the belt failed as well. How hard of job will it be to change out that pulley? If I take off the radiator, can I get enough access to it that way? My ChatGPT, which frequently doesn't have a clue, tells me that normally Kubota pulleys are held in place with keys, not splines. And is asking if this spline or pulley is bolted on to the pulley behind it, that I assume drives the generator and water pump. Anyone know?

The L4200 was offered with a cab, so most likely its factory since it has a/c.

As for the pulley, it is held on with a large center nut and is keyed onto the crankshaft.

The pulley looks like the casting fractured, not sure what would cause it, but usually happens from an impact. Not sure what would have caused that.

Did you buy the tractor used with the pulley like that? If so I wonder if someone tried to remove the pulley with a gear pulley at some point.

No, I've owned this tractor for 25+ years. I had it on a project in Mobile, AL where we had a sweeper attached to it for two or three years. Then when we finished that project, I said, "this goes to Topeka!". It has been very reliable. I only have a couple of acres. But my wife and I love to work on things outside. And I live in an area with a few elderly (I'm 76 but with the emotional age of a 14 year old!) and widowed people and I keep the driveways clear when it snows, help them move dirt around etc. I also volunteer on with a Rails to Trails group and used it a great deal last fall in clearing the next mile of a trail and just before that my wife volunteered me to clean or clear the aggregate from a church area (hottest days of summer!). So I use it and it has been very reliable. It has had a few things go wrong, alternator (rebuilt), the spline for 4 wheel drive, a hydraulic pump, one cylinder needs frequent (every three years or so) repacking, but hey, it's about 30 years old.
