i saw some posts on removing the MMM using the FEL. if your tractor doesn't have the FEL a floor jack works great also and makes removing thje mower a breeze /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When my FEL is off, I just drive one front wheel on a piece of two-by-four. This works fine.

JR,

Is that with your B2410 or with the BX? If it's with your B2410, I'd love to see some pics. I've been leaving the FEL on, but.....

Thanks,
Kevin

I am using the loader. But I have in my mind some little stands that will fit over the MMM where the front wheels are so that I can just back up and pull forward. The old MMM weighs a little more than I like to try and drag out. Just a thought. And that is one of those rainy day projects.

The BX does not need to be lifted like the B2410. The MMM is very easy to remove. I usually reinstall the loader first and use it to lift the tractor. The problem is that the front caster wheels run into the tractor frame and thus it must be lifted slightly so the MMM can be rolled out. I also do this by rolling the tractor front wheels up onto a 2X8 when it is inconvenient to have the loader on to help. It is pretty easy then to remove the mower but you have to kinda work it out. I usually pull it out the RH side. I find it helpful to turn the front wheels this way and that also as I wiggle the MMM out--no big deal. J

Hmmmm, you don't drag the mower out--it rolls out. Lift the rear mower wheels into the retracted position. Turn the LH rear wheel to the sideways position and repin. Then roll it out--no dragging needed--it rolls easily. J

Hey TresCrows,

How about talking to my BX mower for me! Granted it is not a big deal to get it off and out, but the floor of my shed is dirt with some stone chips on it. and in my case some shifting of the mower deck is needed to get the deck wheels and anti-scalp roller past the tires.

It's probably not the BX's fault...but dragging seems to be the operative term when I take my mower off! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Still not a big deal...concrete floor would be nice though. I do use some plywood beside the tractor to make the mower roll once I got it started out from under the tractor. Even on cement though, I think some shifting of the mower would be required if the tractor is not lifted up somehow. I don't have a loader on the bx...but I don't feel the need to bother with jacking it up with a floor jack, mabye because it would be more trouble to drag that jack across the floor than it is to "drag" the mower deck out... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sure would be nice if one could just drive over the deck

Well, I guess I'll have to give this a try one day when I have some time and lots of patience. I can get the mower on and off in under 5 min with the loader popping up the front end, but without the loader /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks,
Kevin
