Howdy, folks. I am finally getting around to taking off the snow blower for the first time. Well, the snow blower was easy. The subframe is giving me fits. After disconnecting from the blower, I put down pressure on the frame so I could remove the subframe pins. (Which is when I discovered the dealer let it go out the door with only the front pins and not the midpoint pins. Grr.)
I removed the down pressure and attempted to pull the drawbar. My understanding is that is what you do, then down pressure again and remove the shaft at the mid-PTO. Then relive the pressure and disconnect the hoses.
Regardless, I am stuck at removing the drawbar. I can wiggle it left and right and up and down a bit, but it ain't coming out.
Mechanical geometry is not intuitive to me.
I'd greatly appreciate
1. Comments/corrections on the proper procedure and order of steps for subframe removal.
2. Suggestions on what to do to remove the drawbar.
thanks, bws
