Yeah, but is the OP asking about a MMM, Bush Hog type, flail (not likely), sickle, or (I'm out of ideas)? :)

I trust my friend Larry's intuition..... I'm betting MMM. :)

His info shows he has a BX1870, so my info was based on this. You can also do the change with n SAE, but it is an odd size and the fit is not quite as good.

my answer would have been 'the size that fits'... but that's just me.
I usually just go to the tool box and grab a couple wrenches or sockets that look close, and use the one that fits.

using impact wrenches on those socket sizes to remove blades? hope so, best

Not to be a smart as$, but you use the socket that fits it. I have a Kubota lawn tractor, a B7100 ( is it still a lawn tractor? ) and a F series Kubota. I'm pretty sure they all take a different size. Then there is the other half dozen mowers. I prefer to use an impact wrench to drive the socket,

Or post #3 if it was from the OP. By the way, where is he (her)?

Were I a new member and got these responses I'd probably be silent as well. :(
