relief valve settings

Inadequate lifting capacity is the problem. My ML108 manual states check & reset the relief valve settings as needed. Does anyone know how to do this? Attached is a picture of the relief valve with the cover off of it.

There are two nuts around the screw, with two wrenches loosen the outer nut/cover & remove, then with a screwdriver on the screw, so it doesn't move, loosen the inner nut. Turn the screw in as needed, then retighten both nuts. This is something that should be done with a gauge to check the pressure to get it within spec if it is not now.

Is this the same for the ML112? Sometimes I'd like just a little more oomph, especially when digging into a pile of material to get a full load.

It would be more convenient to have a little more lifting power, but will this harm the system?

I'm not sure if it has the same loader valve or not, I would bet it does. A call to the dealer would tell. If the setting is below spec, turning it up is the thing to do. Increasing the setting a little above spec should be ok, but is done at ones own risk. Many have increased the relief valve setting (as I have) but be careful. A gauge to check it would be a good idea. Your FEL is rated for 950 lbs. more than mine so it should grab a good load when on spec.
