Reflection 2013

On this, the last day of the year, I have been doing a little thinking of the past and planning for the future.

So I when looked out the window I seen some fresh rabbit tracks in the dusting of snow we got last night and wondered.....Why do rabbits have 4 feet but only leave 3 tracks? --- I think we all know the answer, I just thought it was an odd thing for mother nature to do.

It is a time for reflection and making plans for activities in the coming year.

2013 was a decent year for us all in all. Everyone stayed healthy. We made progress on some projects. No disasters.

My main project in 2014 will be clearing the stumps from the field I am working on. I've decided to hire-out the stump work, there will plenty remaining to be done after the stumps are dealt with. Rock picking. I'll need to buy a 3pt disk harrow to make decent seed beds. That brings up the need for an equipment shed, my bush hog is sitting outside as it is.

Wow, that's a nice building! It is a bit more palatial than the equipment shed I had in mind. :laughing:

What a beauty! You have room for a couple classic Chevys and the occasional flea market/yard sale!

What is the big transformer for? You have 3 phase power?

Funny you should say that. There are ankle deep ruts inside the shed from the last day of construction. That day the crew finished up at 5:30 and everything froze up that night and is still frozen. It's a challenge just to walk in there so for now

I mostly just look out the window at it.

What is the big transformer for? You have 3 phase power?

The transformer was there first, it runs the house which is just out of the picture. No 3 phase power, but it is available if someone wanted it bad enough.
