When we first moved onto the place we have now the wood sided barn was painted fire engine red - not the old barn red. It looked great but in a few years the paint was peeling and it needed repainting. I rented a big power washer and went to work. I also bought special paint that put it back to the bright red I liked. Within a few years the paint was still sticking but it had faded and i now had a pink barn. I gave up and painted it light blue this time!
