Receiver Hitch Adapter

/ Receiver Hitch Adapter #12

I was tired of always removing and installing trailer balls on my DX40, so I came up with this adapter so I can use the many receivers I have for my truck. It's simply made out of tubing, angle iron and flat stock I had lying around the yard. It slips over the drawbar and is secured by a pin in one of the small holes in the drawbar. Then I slide in the receiver and pin it normally. I attached a few pics so you can see how I made it.
I enjoy reading the posts on the site, and thought I could share something I did to make life easier.:D

I copied your idea and made a similar receiver hitch for my JD. Now the hitch height is closer to standard trailer height of 16". Works great.

Dang, I need another project like a hole in the head. But that is just too good an idea and so simple. Excellent. Thanks!

This is how I did it and use the 3ph to raise.

Looks great. I may make one if I have to pull trailers aa distance, but I just love the ability to back up to a tailer and pick it's ball up with the 3pt hitch adapter.
