Congrats on the tractor.
I got in the habit of shifting to neutral after I shut the tractor off. Its like muscle memory now. So when I go to start it, I just push the brake pedal and fire.
But I store mine inside, so its not like it is going to roll anywhere.
But yes, the newer cabbed tractors have seat, brake, and neutral switches.
I installed a pigtail to eliminate the seat switch. I don't have to be in the cab to start it. And I no longer have to shift to neutral or set the parking brake to get out of the machine while its running. But most of my property is pretty flat, I wouldn't recommend it if you have lots of hills.
