Greetings! On my TC29D, there is a rear worklight connector/wiring. I know that when the key is turned on, this connector is energized. My question is, what kind of current will this particular circuit handle? I would like to have 3 55w lights on it, but I don't know the amperage capacity. Does anyone know?
Thanks..

I would check with your dealer. Most setups on the JD's anyway are only rated for 2 55 watt lights, or about 8 amps.

I put two lights on my roll bar and hooked them into the plug. The plug itself gets pretty hot after a while. Also when starting and using the glow plugs you have to have your lights off. If I have the tractor lights on and the two on the roll bar I will blow the main fuse.

I would wire, switch and protect from the battery.

3 lamps @ 55w .. thats 165w.. @12v.. yuo will be pulling just under 14a.

What size wire is it? If it's a larger gauge wire.. probably ok.. however.. the switch may not handle the extra rating. If it was me.. I'd put a 'fog lamp' relay in, and have the relay actuated by that line, and then wire myself a 10ga wire from the battery ( fused to 15a ).

I believe on a TN those little plugs are 10 Amp. I suspect NH is consistent in the use of that plug's capacity.

That answers the question then!
