Rear weight bracket

Chris--nice project. Suitcase weights of any kind in my area run about $1.00/pound--were you able to locate less expensive suitcase weights?? I have considered utilizing your basic design with modiifcation to use weightlifting weights since they sometimes are on sale for less than 50 cents/pound.

Mike I got my suite case weights off an old Massey 510 combine that my brother had junked. He still owns them but I get to use them as long as I need them. The rear weights are also off of an old Massey combine. I bought them at a local farm machinery salvage yard. The wheel weights total 450 lbs & I purchased them for $125.00 There suite case weights were $.50 per pound.
