Northern Indiana and I use -30 windshield washer fluid with Multi Seal Hydro and 1 gal of antifreeze per tire for the protectants.

WWAF here in NS, normal coldest it gets here is -20C, very occasionally lower, I've had no problems freezing

None, here.
For Traction: Plants like a light footprint in summer & chains are better for winter.
For Ballast: A light implement on the 3pt ballasts the FEL more than heavy tires do.

We live in the mountains. Lots of gravel and little clay. YMMV.

I have 1550# of RimGuard in the rear tires of my Kubota M6040. Installed by the dealer when I bought the tractor in 2009. My M6040 weighs 10,100# and never goes on any of my lawns.

I have the same set up as Oosik and I do occasionally have to drive on the lawn but only after an extended dry spell.
and then I try not to run in the same track twice.
