My #2 rear remote only has one quick connect, the other has a plug in it.
Expert question: Is what I need to add another quick connect is a 1/2 male coupling and a 1/2 quick connect female coupler, ball pioneer style.

Is the tractor side 1/2 NPT?

I am not sure what type of male nipple I need to connect the tractor to the quick connect. Is this what I need?

Thanks

Unless I’m missing something you want what is right below the plug......match the existing female QD. It looks like they have an adapter and then the QD is attached to that.

The males would be the same as the ones in the background of the photo and plugged into the other set of QDs.

The existing male adaptors look like they might be something other than 1/2" NPT on the tractor side.

Take one of them out and check. DiscountHydraulicHose has a nice document for identifying hydraulic threads.

Use Loctite 545 on the NPT threads to seal them. Wait 24 hours to let it cure.

Take the plug out and you well see what you need. I think there is a o ring under there and it well be straight threads.

Ditto existing plug appears to be ORB

My question is why is it plugged?

Only thoughts that comes to me is fitting got damaged to the point of leaking and replaced with plug when found out the cost of the Kubota quick connect. ( I had that to happen on of my Kubota's and went with simpler fitting over the push pull design Kubota had for price difference. Still regret that.) Or he only used a single action cylinder on something and wanted to use that valve for some special reason.
