Rear mounted pto mower

I have been contemplating the purchase of a 6' pto three point mower to be used with my 4110. I'm wondering if the pto with the electric control will work properly as it snaps on so fast there is alot of blades to get in motion. Don't need a thousand dollar parts bill if the system will not stand the load. Anyone have this combination ?
The salesman said it would work just fine as the belts would take up part of the shock during the instant on. I might be a bit short on hp also but my lawn never gets six inches high. I have the 60 inch mmm currently and if the pto version works out I would sell the other.

We have 1 of the "First Choice" 6 ft models left at the $1395 Price (Orange in color) + shipping. Picture below. I don't think you will have any problem at all with your type PTO engagement. The belts will absorb some of the shock, however, it is not like starting a Brush Hog that is carrying a lot blade weight. I would engage with PTO off the grass, just to be safe. I will put this mower up against any brand mower for features, cut and parts availability. Ken Sweet

I agree, you are good to go. There will be no harm to your pto with a 6' finish mower behind the 4110. I pull a 10' rotary mower behind my JD 4520. That is a considerable load on the pto when starting that bad boy.

I would not even consider any problem issues with your tractor and a 6' finish mower. They start up even relatively easy compared to a 6' rotary mower.

I would not worry about it one bit. Many CUT's are using a electric/hydraulic control for the PTO engagement. Mine starts my chipper just fine.
