rear end and hydrolic fluid

ok one more question about my taishan dragon 270. I have changes the oil and filter and want to atleast check the rear end or hydrolic fluid. i see a big nut under the seat where i think i check it. what the best to use if i have to add. also the rear axle is different looking than on most tractors, is there any special fluid to use. I see that most say to change the fluids in chinese tractors because of the oils they use and i beleive mines already been changed as my tractors from china but has warnings in english,lol.:laughing:

If yours is anything like my TS354C, the one under the seat is hydraulic fluid for steering/rear lift/front loader/et cetera. In NC you'd typically use AW32 or ISO32. That's different than what goes in the gear boxes and differentials, to include "the rear end". Those sumps take gear oil, typically 80W90. The transmission and rear differential are checked and filled through plugs in front of the operator seat. Obviously, the front differential - also 80W90 - is checked/filled up on the front axle housing.

under my seat is two plugs, 1 is a big one and the other is a small plastic one with a dipstick, the dipstick has 2 marks on it, the big plug smell like gear oil and the small one doesnt. these are about 4 or 5 inches from each other. its hard to see the fluid on the dipstick but i know some is on it. just wandering what i need to put back in there. dont want to mix it up.

Well that's clearly different than my TaiShan, I'm out of suggestions. "Hard to see" is definitely a characteristic of clean hydraulic fluid. But I can't speculate on the other. Any fill plugs on the housings forward of the seat area? Any chance of photos?
