This was really not an issue as long as the grass was green, but for the last month or close to two it's been bone dry and brown, however we still need to mow due to weeds growing.

Has anyone here installed rubber "mudflap" or skirting in the rear edge of this type of deck in order to control bone dry clippings flying back?
Looks like it should be pretty easy to install one.

The factory deck leaves 6 - 8" high, close to full 72" wide opening.

(I have Gator blades which are pretty aggressive)

Anyone who has done it, could you please tell us if it was worth the effort?

My only concern would be the width of "mudflap" so blades don't hit it when in reverse also mowing wet/soggy ground.

Thomas hit the nail on the head. I tried a piece of chain link fence across the back of my deck. It worked to prevent stuff from flying out the back but if the tractor was backed with the deck lowered it would push into the blade. I removed it - not worth the hassle. I'll take my chances with whatever projectiles are thrown to the rear. It's been without the guard for fifteen years now with no problems noted.

Suspend a rubber flap between the front wheels of your F3060 to hang like a curtain.
Use mudflap rubber with the corded reinforcement, not pure rubber sheet,
Use steel plate strips either side to sandwich the rubber and prevent tearing.

The burnt paint on the RH spindle pulley implies that blade was 'stopped' for a time.

I even have a problem with the leading edge of the deck blowing clippings back on me.

My rear discharge finish mower has a chain curtain like on rotary cutters that helps. Switching to low lift blades may help.
