Real people???

After watching several commercials, I have been informed that actors are not real people. Are they androids?

The worst part is we all are the ones paying for a majority of the commercials...I wonder how many millions (maybe billions?) the insurance companies like Geico, Progressive etc., etc...spend on television advertising?...methinks if they didn't spend all that money on the TV spots...they could lower premiums by a large amount...

I think that is the wave of the future. Geckos, computer generated humans and other un real or otherwise animated objects can be controlled by their creators. Real humans, like, for instance, O.J. Simpson who represented Hertz I believe, cannot be controlled. When they do something that garners bad publicity, their sponsors are stuck with it.

A gecko, or animated character is under control all the way and won't get into trouble or situations that reflect badly on their sponsor.

I hope this art progresses to the point that there are no "real" actors left in Hollywood. I am very tired of listening to their political opinions. Of course someone will surely give political opinions to the fake ones too. Like the public should respect the political opinions of actors or football players. :confused3:

My guess is at least 30-50%. I seem to remember reading that the drug companies biggest expense for a drug is not the R&D to create the drug/product but the advertising. Advertising was a much bigger percentage.

For the type of boat we want to buy, the major brand that are heavily advertised are at least 50-100% more expensive than a "brand" that does not advertise. We think the quality in the "cheaper" boat is better too. All of the "brands" are made in China so the expensive of the build is basically the same.

Actually in reference to a phone...'Android' is an operating system...can run many different mobile devices made by many different manufacturers...BTW...it was developed by Google...

I’m gonna hijack my own thread and make another observation. Have you ever noticed that the actors “not real people” on most automotive shows wear some ridiculous head wear (doo rag?) and sport even more ridiculous facial hair. Would real people do that?
