There are many reasons to buy a rear mount blower (cost, resale, still use the fel, etc) and only one reason to buy a front mount.
It's a lot like comparing airplanes. Twin engine models are heavy, complex, add drag, cost more, burn twice the fuel, and have many more ways to kill ya...but those reasons still don't measure up to the one and only benefit. Man you feel better having a second engine! Same thing with blowers.
I've had a 48" front mount on a 2210 for three years now and we've had near record snow every year since. The front blower is the only tool for big snow. Using anything else is like using a wrench as a hammer, it'll work but you know there's a better way.
There are lots of reasons to get a 3ph blower, but when you first put one on the front you'll hear angels sing and believe your tractor found a soulmate. It's that good!
