reach mowers

I am looking at buying a reach mower for my 45 hp. tractor. Does anyone have any experience with these? I will be using around the ponds and on a ditch that is too steep to drive on as well as trimming a hedge. I have been quoted over the net $5500 for a brand new unit with 11' reach. Any input would be appreciated.Thanks

You may refer to the VMC RB110 Mower. Nice unit. Totally self contained. Driven by the PTO. You can reverse the direction of the flail blades. Unit has a breakaway, many other features.
