Need advice on best way to regrade part of my yard that wasn't done properly.

There was a recent thread describing different attachments (box blades, scrapers, rear blades) and different ways to use them. I've searched but cannot find it. There was one post that specifically mentioned grading with a blade turned backwards which reduced the chance for the whoopdeedoo effect which is exactly what I'm trying to correct on my property.

What I really want to know is what's the best way to get a really flat surface to prepare for seeding.

Disk it, till it, then drag it with landscape rake or some other type of leveling drag.

Agree with JOHNTHOMAS and dragging is essential; trust me on this one.

You might even want to till and drag after letting it get wet and allowing it to settle depending on the condition of your ground and how much dirt you moved.

I'm in the middle of the same job and am following JOHNTHOMAS' excellent advice! :D
