With the help of my dog, got rid of a rat under the tarp of my new 7040. (I always pop the hood when covering, rodents seem to avoid places reached by light) But this one was nesting under the frame by the fuel tank. Luckily, no major damage, but lots of potential. Will now try clear visquine till I can get a shed up (and then, no guarantee) Comment: I would gladly pay 300-400 on a new rig for the option of shrouding fuel, elec, and hydr. lines. Easy to do w/stainless flex, conduits, and external spring material. I'm amazed at the thin walled fuel return line w/a Barbie spring clamp on a M series tractor. Do other manufactures do it? Kubota does everything else so well, and rodents are a universal problem. living w/the rats, bb
