I noticed on one of the PDFs linked in the page they say for gasoline but reference diesel "if a separate return line is available". Not sure what that means. If you use one and figure out what they are talking about, I would appreciate knowing. It would not seem to me that the fuel would make a difference as long as it is compatible.

I agree, seems like gas vs diesel should not matter much. Will price Kubota unit but if too pricey will get this one and I'll let you know if it works. The rod that the float is on with the stock unit is angled. This makes me think the shape of the tank might be odd. Not sure if this will be a problem for the aftermarket part or not.

When the fuel gauge / sending unit went out on my N.H. TC-30 , I bought a generic float / sending unit and gauge kit from J.C. Whitney for less than $30 . Had to adjust the length of the float arm as per the instructions , but it has worked Great ever since . It never said Diesel or Gas , Just fuel gauge and sending unit .

I keep having to tell my wife her car's "miles left" reading is not to be trusted. She tends to run way down to a few dozen miles. Once it said 8 miles left when I got in it to move it. I know they have reserves but sooner or later she will forget it and run out of gas.
