Or a dog kennel
or mototcross track.

All these greenhouses everywhere and my only question is who is smoking or using all this weed?

When first approaching them, they said they were going to grow tomatoes and Cucumbers. Naive me, said, I love cucumbers. lol

Greenhouse beats a pig farm.

I have both.Won't you be my neighbor? :D

(The greenhouse is mostly storage, and will be a run for my henhouse this winter.)

No. No I won't be your neighbor.

I do enjoy the smells of the farm. However, 24/7 downwind from a pig farm would not be pleasant.

On a similar note, there used to be a mushroom factory in the town just north of us. I had to pass it daily on my way to the little airport I worked at up there. They used a lot of manure in rows about 10' high by 10' wide by a hundred yards long. A big machine would straddle the rows and paddles would aerate the manure. When it was juuuuust right, some poor guy in a large open-station wheel loader got the job to take it one scoop at a time into row buildings where they grew the shrooms. WHOOOOEEEE! Was that ripe! :p

The Green Giant should have been called the Brown Giant!

One of my wife's good friends raises hogs on contract. They get them as little pigs and feed them up to a given weight, then turn them back in to the company that they contract with. Somewhere around 6000 hogs at a time. Yep... it stinks.

Lets just say that what I said was very tongue -in-cheek. The raspberry's were so that you could go pick raspberry's in the nude as was mentioned in earlier posts. Just my sense of humor.

Oh, that one went above my pay scale these days and the only nudes picking the wife's strawberry/raspberry plants are the Red Squirrels and Least Chipmunks.

I can think of lots worse neighbors than a Chinese family. I think you will realize you struck gold.

If you care, you can file a notice with Google maps to fix it. When we first moved here Google maps had us about half a mile further down the road, and the nearby side streets completely foobar. It got old having guests ignore our directions and have to drive two miles out of their way, so we asked Google to fix it. It took about four months at the time.

Then again, the latest version of Apple maps used a nonexistent fork in the road to send drivers into a locked gate into a neighbor's property. The road there hasn't existed since the 1920s, when it was a gentler grade for horse drawn carts. I'm mildly curious whether the error came from an old map (no copyright issues?), or automatically drawing it from satellite photos. That one took six months to fix.

All the best,

Peter

We're off the left end of a cul-de-sac. Across the road is a neighbor's property that is on both sides of the creek. GPS will route people through that neighbor's property (his private road and private bridge across the creek) if coming from the east.

Two other stories to add.
First - In '57 we moved to FL it was pretty wild and woolly back then. My stepdad bought a 5 acre parcel backing into RR. A local "surveyor" marked it off and there was a weird quarter acre house lot, separate, at the front road - was right in the middle. Come to find out, 5 years or so further on (at our expense) that the lot was actually the front SE _corner_.
Second story. Wife an I bought 2 lots, 6 acres total, against an old RR, now a rail trail. Neighbor to the south showed me the concrete monuments his father.put in so (long story short) I fenced TWO feet in off property line. Neighbor proceeds to fence up to ours effectively stealing 2x100 feet of our land.
Ugh again.

Our land was surveyed in 1968. In 1969 and again in 1972, there was severe flooding by the creek along the back of our property. One of those floods caused the creek to reroute and cut off the NE corner of our property. We've a little bit across the creek now. Went over once and found the stake over there.
