I hadn't ran the tractor in about a month and at that time the fuel gauge worked. I knew when I started it today it was already pretty low, but it showed that it wasn't on E yet but it only ran a couple of minutes before it just stopped. It turns over fine, but won't start after filling it up with fresh fuel and some Heet. I also tried spraying some fuel and a little starter fluid into the breather and it does cause it to sputter more but it still won't start and puts out a little bit of white smoke.

I guess my question is, is there a primer button somewhere to help prime the lines? Or any other remedy to try before I attempt to bleed the air through the rails?

TIA

Your SUPPOSED TO bleed them at the lines..
Loosen the INLET line at the injection pump & crank the engine till u get fuel THERE & tighten..
THEN, loosen all the lines AT THE injectors & crank the engine till u get fuel there & tighten..
DO ALL THIS w/ the throttle on HI..
There is NO magic button.. you'll know better next time..
BTW> all these fitting are metric..
Good luck.

Do not use starting fluid in a diesel. I never have and never would. Even not on my Deere dozer with ether injection port. I’m terrified of broken rings or the like.
