The main reason I'm asking is that when I went to the tire store yesterday to buy that hitch I asked about servicing the truck. The guy was saying that on the 21 and 22 models you have to remove the inner fender well to get to the external fuel filter. I don't doubt him but that's a perfect reason to get a tech manual.

I think the new trucks are an online manual only now. Subscription type of deal. www.techauthority.com was the old site. Should have a link to new site. I got mine years ago on a thumb drive. Print what I need and then put in folder for the next time.

Then there is also the "factory way" and the "owner way". I changed the PCV on car that has a five hour factory method disassembling a bunch of things forward of the firewall, or you can do it in about forty minutes the "owner" way (1/4" drive with an extension).

Sometimes YouTube can be a real help for alternative service methods, as well as "OMG I would never do it that way!" versions.

Good luck!

Got the el cheapo plugs today and they fit like a glove. Also received the Weathertech mats.

I have the Owners Manual ( all 710 pages ) downloaded on an external drive. This is for my 2018 Ram Power Wagon. Everything I'm able to do - as the owner - can be found in this manual.

I have no illusions - the days of me working on anything under the hood are long over. No desire - no knowledge - too old - no electronic tools.

My owner's manual is in the glove box. I always like to service my trucks at least once so that I know what's involved. Case in point, my '08 Tundra had to have the skid plate removed to get to the filter cartridge. I just don't like to have smoke blown up my butt about how difficult something is. The guy that told me that wants ~500 bucks to change oil, filter, fuel filter and fuel separator.

No. I'm not sure if the guy used the 5th wheel for his travel trailer but if he did he kept it. I think he used the gooseneck ball for his.

They DPF full % doesn't go down until they reach 99-100% then they do a regen cycle. At least that's how the Power Stroke works.

If it is regenning when you shut it off and it only got down to 35% let's say, then it starts there and increases until it hits the 99-100% mark again and initiates a regen.
Well, mine was getting up near 50% as I left town yesterday. I had watched it and it built up and didn't go down last week when driving down to or back from the farm (About an hour 5 each way).
Shortly after getting on the highway and getting up to speed I heard a chime and a message said "Performing DPF regeneratoin. Continue driving".
As I had an hour ahead of me, anyway, it was no big deal. The message went off after about 30 minutes.
Can't help but wonder what would be the effect of stopping before the message cleared?
Somewhat annoying but, if it becomes a problem I'll trade the truck and go back to a gas motor.
I'll not be going back to the 1/2 ton size, though.

I am not a fan of the way the steps break the lines of the truck, but without them I'd be left on the ground. My poor wife had a stool she uses to reach the steps...

🤣

I hate running boards. I won't put them on my ram 2500. When the wife complains I tell her "a woman with less miles on her wouldn't have a problem climbing up, so don't make me decide which one to trade in." She doesn't find it very amusing
