It's time for another rain coat. My schmidt raincoat has finally given up. Any ideas would be appreciated. No frogg toggs or pack-able coats.

Thanks

My raincoat is a "Driza-bone". I've had it for decades.

They come in full and 3/4 lengths... many styles actually, and there are wool inserts available.

Mine favorite is a US Military General Issue ECWCS Gore-Tex Rain Parka, Woodland issued to me prior to deploying to Bosnia.

I also have a Driza-bone I bought about 25 years ago in Canada. I've been thinking about replacing it but haven't been able to find one in the USA.

This might be a bit overkill, but I just upped my rain day game a few months ago. I found one of these fuel handlers Mil Spec Goretex rain suits at the flea market a few months ago. I think I only paid $20, looked brand new. It is a bit overkill but if you MUST be out working in the rain, it don't get any better. I have only worn it once helping the neighbor clear her driveway after a storm blew a tree across the drive. Looking forward to using it more this winter, which is our rainy season.
