Radiator hose leak

I am having fun with the bottom ridiator hose leeking at one of the clamps. It looks like it just was not tight enough. It had run for 20-30 hours before this showed up. I am hoping it is just a matter of tightening the clamp which is in a horible location. cressents will have a time getting to it and the screw head is blocked by a beam. If it may be a sign of worse things what should I look for?

I was reading through the manual to see what type of antifreeze to pick up and the only thing it said was Permant Type. Does that mean any thing to any one? I am hoping it is just standard automotive antifreeze but wanted to make sure.

Maybe you can loosen it and turn it to a position where you can reach it easier. Two feet of extentions and a socket might help.

Permanent antifreeze is simply the name of "modern" glycol based antifreeze, (what you undoubtedly bought).
The OEM hose clamps today are getting to be of such poor quality that I don't even try to reuse them. If it is leaking, use a socket, or wrench to tighten it, (don't use a crescent wrench for anything small). If that doesn't work replace the clamp with a new one from the auto parts store.

Fairly common problem with new equipment. As hoses "crush" and clamps "relax" leaks will occur. Tightening should resolve the problem. Reposition clamp for easier access as stated above.

If as you say , you can't get to it to tighten it or relocate it in the first place . Simply buy another clamp and place it above or below the present one and tighten . If you can get ABA (brand) clamps do so , they have a blue pinion housing and are the only clamps i'll use .
