radiator hose heater project rant

Got home from work today and being as impatient as i am I brushed off the snow and pulled the tractor in the garage. Drained the antifreeze and insralled the block heater. Total time. 2 Beers.........The hardest part was getting the old freeze plug out. Almost lost it inside the block because it's a shallow fit to the inside of the block and hard to flip. Here are some pics...The stress of doing it is now gone. Not a bad hour project. If there's a failure in any part it will probably be with the Teflon Tape made in China...

escavader we place a clip-on light to the oil pan of our B1750. A 60watt bulb is all it takes to keep the oil thin. Been doing it for years...even when it's zero out the tractor spins over easily in the unheated garage.

What kind of siphon pump did he have hooked up to the cans???

Iwas told in the old days the guys working in the woods would take a pan of hot coals out of the wood stove and place under their equipment in the winter,to aid in starting

Here is the instruction sheet for the install. Some 50 seris Kubotas have a little more to do for the install. Hope it helps some if they are thinking of getting one.
It was a little wet when I scanned it so i hope you can read it.....
