Does anyone have any ideas on a good quick hitch for a Kubota bx 25. Thanks

Get a John Deere imatch. I don't think it can be beat for the price and quality.

With Pats easy change you will need a longer toplink and the thing to hold the lift arms in place.

With a quick hitch you will need quick hitch compatible equipment.

Here is a video I made showing some of the differences between a harbor freight QH and a JD Imatch

There are a few modifications that need to be made to a harbor freight quick hitch to get it going. Click the link in my sig.

I use a HF, cheap; but does not come with all the bushings and pieces the others do. Put it all together for half the price of a Land Pride the dealer wanted to peddle.

X2. The higher-quality gear is sure nice but the HF has been acceptable for my needs (LP rotary cutter aka shredder, LP rake, Armstrong box blade, brand X grader blade). I haven't needed to modify anything.

I bought the Pat's when I bought my tractor. I did end up buying a longer top link due to the additional length the Pat's adds. I'm actually very glad I did though. The new top link was like $30 and is a much better and way more easy to adjust top link than what came on the tractor originally. I have all my attachments set at the same widths for the lift arms and I find it so simple to change implements by myself. 94BULLITT mentions something to hold the lift arms in place. I'm not sure what that is, because I don't have that and apparently don't need that. Maybe some do and some don't.

On a BX you will need something to hold the lift arms out. They have "check chains" not telescopic stabilzers. Look at Pats website, they have a bar for this.

A quick hitch is the same way too.

Not all quick hitches. I've owned 3 different types that attach to the arms, Pats being one of them. The pair I've kept attaches to the arm with the slot being on top of the hitch or on the bottom so it doesn't extend the distance back from the PTO. I bought them off ebay for, I think, about $95 a couple or three years ago.

Those aren't really a Quick hitch or at least what I consider a quick hitch.

And why aren't Pats or any of the other Quick Hitches that attach to 3ph arms for Quick Hitching quick hitches in your world?

I have used the SpeeCo (Tractor Supply) and Harbor Freight quick hitches. I discovered that not all implements are quick hitch compatible, that is 26" wide to allow the lift arm hooks to mate to the draw pins. These are great if you are connecting attachments that don't require a pto shaft. Connecting a tiller is a bit more difficult because the top of the QH obstructs getting to the tractor pto shaft.

I purchased a knock off set of Pat's quick hitch from Tractor Supply. On the B series tractor the lift arms fall to the middle which makes attaching an implement a bit more challenging. My redneck solution was to use a bungi cord attached to the lift arm and attached the other end to the tractor. When the lift arms go to the down position the bungi cord pulls them out allowing me to hook up the lower lift arms most of the time without getting off the tractor. The access to the pto is wide open, which I like.

Of the two types I prefer the type that fits on the end of the lift arm.

I got and have used the HF quick hitch (and got the bushings from EBay) and by using a coupon on a sale item at HF,I got their QH at enough of a discount compared with PEC and all the other QH's out there (JD, Speedco, etc.) that it would easily pay for any and all modifications you could ever need, (which BTW, I haven't needed for anything except my Kubota branded ballast box, which was ironically "guaranteed" to be "fully QH compatible" by my dealer).

I also have the swinging toplink connector from both HF and AgrSupply (less expensive there) and use one of them most of the time.

The build quality of my HF appears to be comparable to all the examples I have seen at the dealers round here (see above).

It's like car brands, football teams, home towns, etc., everyone has their favorite, and they're all for different reasons and because of different experiences, sometimes with the same piece of equipment.

For me, it was the experiences of trying to get my lift arms adjusted to take ff and put on implements with narrow tolerances, in awkward positions, and trying to turn stiff (though greasy) turnbuckles to move them.

BTW, the telescopic lift arm stabilizers are awesome, and if they were less $$, I might have gotten them instead of a QH, but since I have the QH, they are less important for me right now, though I will probably get a pair eventually.

Anyone used this type of hitch where the retainer pin goes thru the front upright only? Tractor Quick Hitch Implement Ford Deere Kubota MF | eBay
As opposed to this type where the pin goes thru front and rear uprights? Tractor Quick Hitch Implement Ford Deere Kubota MF | eBay
And why is the first one so much less expensive than the second?
