Quick Hitch to trailer adaptor?

What is the wall thickness of the 2" square tubing?
I assume the rest of it is made of 3/8" x 2" flat bar stock?

-The main tube that goes is 2x2x1/4 box, nothing special
-The "receiver tube" is just that, it's made to accept 2x2 hitches and has a 3/16 wall, my steel supplier sells in any length just for making hitches. Regular box tube won't accept a male hitch.
The rest is 3/8x3", not 2" flat bar.

The easier way is to find a truck hitch on Craigslist or at a junkyard and use that as a base by just adding the flat bar to it.

The front hitch is great for squeezing into tight places but when I haul a load of wood from the back 40, I'd rather be driving frontwards when I climb those hills.
They are really simple to build, handy to have, especially with weights (or block of concrete) attached. Plus a spot for a tool box, spare chain, chainsaw gas, etc. Variations are enormous. You can even plug a winch into them....

Alot of great ideas here :thumbsup: I have a hitch on top of my front loader bucket and love it. but since this is about a quick hitch trailer adapter.....

I bought one of these, Don't know why I didn't build it myself. I got this awhile ago, but now that I see others DIY I would just make my own now.

I took it a step further and just cut out the need for any adaptor and welded the tube right to the QH. Now the adapter sits lonely and unused, with the stow boxes I have the ball hitch on the tractor all the time.
