I like quick hitches as I can back up to implements and hook up only getting out to attach the PTO shaft. A hydraulic toplink makes life much easier. I have an Agsmart cat 1 quick hitch on my 45hp tractor. It does not work on every implement such as the moldboard plow and my box blade (Massey MF18 made by Gill its a weird design where the ripper pivots around the lift arms) or my cat 2 back blade. However it is sure nice the rest of the time. The quick hitch is good and has not had any damage from the tractor. All of my implements are old, pretty sure the Alamo flail was made in the early 90's so it would be the newest.
My method is to back into the implement so its straight on the tractor then lift the 3pt and if your hook is set right you don't have to get out. To unhook I lower the implement to the ground then get off and flick the levers up so the implement lowers to the ground then flip the levers back and adjust the hook for the next implement. I can then go to the next non pto implement back up and hook without ever leaving the tractor, only leave to unhook. I have a cab so its a pain to get in the cab to raise and lower the arms.
Quick hitches are the way to go and I have used them from cat 1 to cat 3. If your good at modifying stuff or you have newer implements then go with a quick hitch. If your not up for the weld and modify pats is the way to go in my opinion.
