Other options are for fluids to MEET the JDM J20C spec, not marketing hype saying recommended.
Store brands do use the licensed Ashland-Valvoline JDM J20C fluid too.

bmaverick, I believe the TF500A is low viscosity and equivalent to the Hy-Gard J20D. In any case, I am still running the Rotella HD and the tractor is functioning well. However, I have procured 5 gallons of the Yanmar TF500A and will swap over to it closer to 175 - 200 hours; presently at @116 hours. Should be sometime during Summer.

If the TF500A is low like the JC20D, do not use it in the hot summer. It's way to thin to protect.

Not really, but didn't spend a lot of time on it. Fortunately, mine is setup so that I can pull a pin and rotate the lockout plate out of the way to disable it when using the bucket.
