I am thinking about getting my first tractor (JD 4310) and would like to know:

1. Can you get a garden plow for the e-Hydro 4310 tractor? Or, is a larger tractor required?

2. How deep can a 655 rotary tiller till?

3. Is it worth getting a mid mount PTO at this time in case I get a snow blower in the future? What other attachments need a mid mount PTO?

4. Is it a good idea to get fluid in the rear tires and a ballast box if you use a front end loader?

Thanks,

Steve

1. Yes you can get a plow to fit. There are even plows to fit 10 horsepower lawn tractors.
2. A rotary tiller can probably do a maximum of 6 - 8 inches deep.
3. Mid mount pto is also needed for belly mount mower. If you are considering the belly mower, I would definitely get the mid pto. As far as the snowblower, you could get a rear mount and run off the rear pto for a cheaper option.
4. I definitely recommend the fluid in the tires and the ballast box for the loader. It is difficult to get enough wheel weights to add up to the recommended ballast. Some people get by with less than recommended but it not safe, especially if you have hills.
