I have an X575 with 175 hrs and in great shape, It has about 5k owed on it, I really like the x595, wonder if I could trade up
without a bunch of negative equity to pay for?

I was going to trade in my 2210 up to a 4110. Would have been bad. Salesman said to keep it at least 3 years.

I had my x585 for 18 months, it had 150hrs and looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. All the service work was done by the dealer. He took it back in trade in November and gave me exactly what I paid for it towards a 4110. The 4110 was 10% off list. I loved the 585 but needed a BH for a bunch of projects - and the dealer wanted to move another CUT before the end of the year. I think what he gave me for a trade-in was generous based on some other posts I've seen.

Good luck -Norm

You could consider selling it yourself, then purchase new, unless its just too much hassle for you? I know in my area a tractor like that would sell for very close to new, maybe a los of $1500.Just a thought.... Good Luck.

whats the longevity of the kawasaki watercooled vs the yanmar diesel on the x-500's. how big of a margin is there?

Garrabo,
The gasoline X series tractors are as a rule not as popular on trade in as the diesel, but you should still make out OK. Garden tractors, no matter how great they may be, are moving slowly at most dealers. My dealer was reluctant to take my 595 back on trade when I was pricing a 4310. He did though, and the machine sold within 10 working days. My feeling is that your best asset right now is timing. If you could hold off until early March, you could potentially trade and get a bit more money. The other thing is that you are trading for an equivalent size machine. One really takes a hit when trading in different classes. You should expect a 20% loss, realistically, on your machine. Anything less than this would be great. And yes, the 595 Yanmar has A LOT more life than does the Kawasaki gasoline, probably on an order of two. It also performs better and uses a good bit less fuel. I have had both, and those are my thoughts.

After buying a new X585, 3 months later I tried to negotiate on upgrading to a 2210 and the dealer only wanted to give me 70% of what I paid for it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I called a few dealers that didnt seem real interested in a trade
up to the 595, they told me I should keep it another year, He also mentioned the 2210, and another model thats slightly above the 2210, forgot what he said it was. It seems like deere is competing
with thereselves, they make the x series line of tractors then at the same time make them seem obsolete, kinda crazy. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
