Looking at 3032e and I notice on the spec sheet it says Final Drive-Spur Gear..What exactly is this, and is it any good or bad or a non player...The other color tractors dont mention anything like this on their specs,,Thanks

Spur gear or "Bull gear" final drives have been around for years. International/Farmall used them on the Cub and Super A tractors that were built back in the '50's and '60's. Here's a link to a pic of one on a 40 hp NH: 2008 NEW HOLLAND TT45A Tractors - 40 HP to 99 HP For Sale At TractorHouse.com If you'll notice the large end of the rear axle housing, in the 6th pic, that's where the bulll gear is. It's just a cheaper way to accomplish gear reduction than using a more complicated and expensive transmission. You will mostly see it on economy tractors. Hope that helps.

   / Question: #3
Spur gears aren't as strong as planetary gearset. There have been some failures (reported on TBN) of 790's breaking those gears in the front axles.
The gear design is stronger when pulling (in a forward direction) so plan on using your draw bar rather then your bucket hooks (for pulling a bush out of the ground as an example).
IIRC, all the 790 failures were when the tractor was pulling in reverse gear.

Next step up is planetary gear reduction. For that size tractor spur gear is adaquate
