.....Pictures of the L4150?
I have a L5450 and have had the transmission fluid on the low end of the dipstick since changing the fluid probably ~3 years ago. I haven't had a light come on.
To clarify, there was a mention of "hydro" in regards to the transmission. I am under the impression all were power shuttles, either with dry or ever clutch?
By the way, my fleet of tractors is up to 11 now and this L5450 remains one of my favorites and most reliable.
So, you have a good unit in your L4150. Congratulations!

After reading the page posted above about how the clogged hydraulic filter warning light works, I think the thermal switch on mine is faulty and allowing the light to come on on cold startup. I think your switch is functioning correctly, preventing the false warning light at low temps.
I agree the term "hydro" is used to refer to hydrostatic drives, which are quite different from the dry or wet clutches in L3 machines. Dick B
