I was looking at the mini Ex tonight and figuring out if I can get it in my garage (like to do all my major service and clean up in the winter and the heated garage is sort of nice).
I notice I can fit it in the garage except for the two loops on the top. I can't figure out what they are for or why they are there? Any idea what they are? If I cut the weld, grind it smooth and touch up the paint it will JUST clear the garage door and I can get it in.

I dislike modifying safety components, but couldn't argue with cutting em off. They aren't structural. I'm sure they are hooks for moving stuff when assembling or the like. They look a little light for lifting & moving the whole machine.

Just don't grind em lower than the ROPS bar so you don't compromise it.

Learned on the Heavy Eqpt forum they are most likely used to lift the ROPs on and off, possibly at the factory.

They are real easy to remove without doing any damage to the ROPS and make it look like they were never there (then be able to drive into my garage)
Thanks
