Question for those who live in California

We just had 3 black kids (not "illegals") almost kill a cop, but luckily they only killed themselves driving...

I mean between illegal immigrants and black kids, look at where this nation is going to. The black kids were probably illegal immigrants as well. I just know in my local rural area of NC, good old white men who are blue blooded born US citizens don't drink and drive and kill people...had to mention "men" because of Miss Jamie Lee Komoroski in SC who made national news killing a woman on her wedding day driving drunk. What people forget is that woman is actually a Dang Yankee, as women raised in the southern Bible belt as good Christians would NEVER drink and drive...

Look up the term "facetious"... ;)
Did they have a Drivers License?

Did they have a Drivers License?
Being the driver was 14 years old, I hope you know the answer to that.

That said, Komoroski did have a drivers license, as well as Miss Jacobo...

Hopefully you're smart enough to understand that just due to ones citizenship, race or gender really doesn't determine if you're going to kill someone drunk driving or not. That said, kids will ALWAYS due stupid stuff, and hopefully they don't kill themselves or others for their stupid decision making process.

My point was that when somebody blatantly violates our laws as driving while never licensed repeatedly along with entering the country illegally then Driving while Intoxicated resulting in Death is no surprise.

My point is if you're driving while intoxicated, be it you have a drivers license or not, or here legal or not, you're still making a very stupid decision that could result in someone else's death.

I also don't think that it's only illegal aliens who don't drive without a auto registration or insurance. Of course illegal aliens can't get those documents, but what does that say about the American born "citizens" that can but won't or can't?

I've lived in NC for over 2 decades now. Some years ago the NC highway patrol was doing drivers checks in our very rural county (word was for checking for illegal immigrants). I found out to my very surprise, that local farmers were warning people who were "targeted" for these roadblocks where these road blocks were because they were honest, hard working people.

A couple of farmers I even consider good friends. My one local buddy put it best when he told me he thought I wasn't too bad for being a Yankee, and pointed out that the county we live in has enough buttholes born and bred as it is and it was a good thing I wasn't a butt head.

I can tell you for a fact that with our local sheriffs departments facebook page (they do a good job of keeping info out there for the public) most people who get jailed (and the sheriff lets EVERYONE know who is arrested and why, are local born and bred white American citizens (ironically enough, higher percentage of females than I would have guessed).

I'm guessing illegal aliens have the same issue as American born citizens, they have the same percentage rate of idiots, who are even more stupid breaking the law because they're here illegally.

Plenty of single head of household parents are afraid of their offspring because I have seen it.

It’s often a cycle that repeats where a teen mother loses custody of kids to grandma and repeats when those kids lose custody of their kids and drugs often in the mix.

I know property owners that have sold rentals because of renter problems and little could be done except throw in the towel due to strong renter protections.

California has some very strong laws all swayed to protect renters from being forced out.

We're the parents of two adopted boys who were in foster care.

We were also were a state licensed foster home for years.

My wife has also volunteered her time with the State's Guardian Ad Litem program for the last 18 years. Of course my wife's cases are strictly confidential, but we are married and do talk, particularly if something is bothering her.

I can assure you, I completely understand the fact that there are people in this world who should not bear children because they don't understand to love another, you first have to love yourself;)

Haven't look at the stats, but I'd guess most serial killers haven't come from a happy loving family environment, but I could be wrong.

But, looking at the drunk driving stats, exactly how many people can use the excuse of a unhappy childhood as an excuse, and does that excuse them for causing a death by being irresponsible? Of course not...

Here is the location:

Hawkins says the other ruling now requires that the exact location of a checkpoint be revealed at least two hours ahead of time. It’s set up on Highway 174, between Clark and Henderson Streets. The checkpoint is from 6 this evening until 2am on Friday.
Hmm, that doesn't seem an "unincorporated area" to me. It's not even a busy area. Maybe too many drunks leaving the bowling alley? Who knows.

Here we go again ...

After 100 years of being headquartered in CA, Chevron announced it is moving to Texas and taking 2,000 jobs with it.

I guess being repeatedly sued by the State of CA was considered "unfriendly?"

This is landmark and I mentioned it.

Company after company is voting with their feet...

Chevron owned a beautiful world headquarters laid out like a college campus which they sold... I really enjoyed going there.

I've never seen so many homes on the market with price reductions averaging as much as 30% down from peak...

Also folks that have only owned 2-3 years moving out of state.

The common reason is not worth the high cost and safety...

Its one thing to have top notch services and pay the price but paying some if the highest prices with little to show combined with crime is resulting in more friends and neighbors saying goodbye...
