A good sized off road forklift can move and set those easily for you.

As far as stopping they will stop just as easily as if it had an 8000# tractor on the trailer or load of hay, trailer brakes.

Ive looked at Sunbelt rentals website for an off road forklift ( someone else mentioned same ) is there another name for these things, not having any luck with those keywords on sunbelt website

EDIT: I think I found them, start out at about 1000 per week plus transport. I need a dozer out there anyway so cant justify. I need it for maybe 2 hrs tops

395 plus prob 3-400 one way transport fee

Towing yes but I was questioning the stopping in a panic scenario.

Zero difference in stopping compared to a smaller equal weight load.

Could be under Rough Terrain Forklift,
or a Telehandler.

Recently used some logs, pipes, jack and tractor to set one for a friend.

Both of the trucks you pictured are DRW 3500s. There’s a huge difference between that and a 250. Those trucks are well within their towing capacity. So taking wind load out of the equation which is by far the biggest danger what’s your logic that that’s harder to stop than a 9,000 pound tractor? You wouldn’t blink an eye at a guy using a 3500 DRW truck with a duel tandem trailer with a 9,000 pound load on it. If you want to talk about the unsafe towing you should look at the guy using a ranger to tow a L2501 tractor on a poorly built trailer with no trailer brakes.

If it’s so soft that the trucks both got stuck an all terrain forklift may not fair a lot better. I’d wait until you get the dozer and just drag them. And it would take a pretty big all terrain forklift to handle a 9,000 pound box. Your average telhandler or backwards tractor lift won’t do that much.

The total amount of energy to stop the falling/thrown bricks would be the same. However, the area that force is spread out over would be different.

Exactly. These guys apparently deliver them for a living; they would have the proper truck to do the job without wasting money on overkill.. Driver experience and aptitude also come into play whenever you are talking about hauling or even driving.

My Ford Ranger is rated to pull that L2501 when properly equipped; (7500 lb towing capacity) yet I wouldn't attempt it because I want a wider margin of error. Somebody with more experience towing loads could do it safely.
