I am interested in buying a electric shallow well pump with pressure tank for pumping water from the creek to water the yard and garden.

Any suggestions on a inexpensive way to go?

Thanks,

tom

Not that I have found. But then it depends on what you consider is expensive.
By the time you buy a pump (1/2 hp ?) a tank, pressure switch, pipe, fittings, faucet (s) etc. Your looking at $400/$500
Do you already have electricity at the pumps intended location ?
Living here around the lake, irrigation pumps are a very common thing. I started up 2 of them today and will finish building and installing another one tomarrow.

Power is close by. Thanks for then answers. I think I might stop by Lowes to see what they have on hand.

I have an Ace pump/tank unit (I think that is the brand) down at my old place that I bought from Lowes. It's the kind where the pump is mounted on top of a horizontal tank. It will run on either 120 or 240. Mine runs fine on 120.

Other than the pressure switch sticking once, I haven't had a lick of trouble with it. Odd thing though, a buddy bought one about the same time. His has stuck just once too. Must be an initiation rite.
