Question about steel strength??

Xfaxman - I get a kick out of seeing the old Toro lawnmower turned into a loader. I will bet it is handy though. It seems like you are a little close to the action though - maybe a little in the dirt? I like the brush fork concept. Very simple and I will bet useful.
Yep, turned out to be a very useful machine.

It will fork some brush.

Nice to see the bucket when leveling in float mode.

Questtion regarding pin locations.

Is the ideal location for 3ph pins centered on the frame (on a verticle plane), rather
than located on mounting plates where the drilled pin holes are closer to
the machine and away from the frame?

Idealy, should the FEL mounting brackets be located as close to the bottom
of the frame as possoble to maximize lift capacity?

I'm thinking that these locations matter when it comes getting the most
out of an attachment??

Yes, this one will lift slightly more

The height of the brackets does not affect lift capacity, the distance back from the frame does, same as the 3 point.

Thanks for the follow up information.

One basic question just came to mind.

In designing a set of 3ph forks, what is the ideal width of the
lower link pin positions..relative to the tractor they are used on?

I now know the correct height they need to be set at, but don't know the
theory behind the ideal width to set the pins.

IF you have a quick hitch, make the lower spacing to match.

Others with a QH may be able to chime in with an exact number. But in general, Cat I lower spacing is 26". But dont know if that is to the inside of the arms, outside of the arms, or center to center...
