That's easy for a guy with 20,708 posts to say.....
right click and add address to address book.. make a seperate contact list. like amailing list..soundguy
I tried it and it took 6 clicks....
Two to open the e-mail.
One right click on the e-mail address.
One on the option to save it to the Contacts list.
One to save and close the new contact.
One to close the e-mail.
That's 4800 clicks. At 2 clicks per second and with mouse relocation(assuming proficiency with a mouse) that's 2400 seconds, divided by 60 = 40 minutes for a professional mousist to knock out the job if they only spent 3 seconds on each of the 800 messages.
(too much time on my hands)
When I right click and hold it down, nothing happens at all. I have to let go to get a menu, and then there is no option to add the sender to the address book. It's Outlook 2003.Wow.. you did it the brutal and hard / slow way.
Try this.. from the preview window where all your emails are listed.. right click on the sender, and hold the button down... when the dialog box comes up.. there should be an option at the bottom to add sender to the address book.. move to it and release the button.
thus one click.. and a couple inches relocation on the screen.. (which if you have any balistic settings at all on your mouse.. means about 1/4" of movement of your hand.)
Probably do 2 of those a second.... thus 7 minutes ( 6.67) of steady work.. or call it 10 for those with non supple fingers.... way faster than 40 minutes for the stone knives and bear skin approach of opening and closing each message and all that other stuff!

Yes, with Outlook 2003, I must open the email first and click on the address before choosing the option which does slow things down.
Mousist? Wow, another new word for my vernacular. Being not too far from New Orleans, after Katrina I added a lot of words to my knowledge, such as FEMA, MREs, dewatering, recovery czar, etc but it seems the most new words I learn are all computer related.![]()
