Hello, I have a hydraulic top link for my tractor and when hooking up I find I am constantly in and out of the cab to adjust the length to get it hooked up. I was wandering cause it's an e-SCV is there a way to install a two way toggle switch on the rear fender (or use one of the two lift arm switches instead) and splice it into the SCV switch in the cab so I can operate it from the outside as well as inside?

I do know you can buy a factory hydraulic top link for this tractor that is plumbed into the hydraulic lines and can be hooked up from inside the cab but I imagine that would get expensive so I am hoping there is a way for what I'm describing to work.

Easiest thing would be to just get a 3pt quick hitch. ;)

I have thought about that but the problem is all my attachments vary between cat 1 and cat 2 and my 3pt hitch is a cat 3, got lots of bushings laying around, lol.

:eek: you use a cat 1 implement behind a tractor that has a cat 3 hitch. :eek: I sure hope that the implement NEVER touches the ground.

You could do a lot of modifications and use cat 2 for everything. ;)

You can certainly wire a switch in parallel so you can control the SCV from two locations, this is actually standard on some larger tractors. You will probably need a DPDT center off switch thats momentary in the two ON positions. I would need to look at the schematic to help any further.

Technically all my attachments are cat 1 but most had their lift pins converted to cat 2.

You can certainly wire a switch in parallel so you can control the SCV from two locations, this is actually standard on some larger tractors. You will probably need a DPDT center off switch thats momentary in the two ON positions. I would need to look at the schematic to help any further.

Sweet, it wouldn't be hard for me to find out what wires go to the cab switches then tap into them. I just wanted to make sure it was possible and would work before I attempted it.

As I am sure that you know, just by changing the pin sizes does nothing to change the implement to a cat 2 implement. The implement is still a light duty implement with the wrong pin spacing. My point was that ANY cat 1 implement that touched the ground was most likely going to be a light duty implement for your tractor. Even if it was considered a heavy duty cat 1 implement, it is still a light duty implement for your size of tractor. ;)

Yes I am aware of that, I have had to be very careful with them and going slow so I didn't wreck them. Most of them were sold to me by my dealer at the time when I bought a 5115M (cat 2 tractor) I would like to upgrade to more appropriate attachments but will have to wait till I pay off the payments from what I have already.

I am surprised that your dealer sold you anything cat 1 to go behind the 5115M. :sigh: :no: It's not like you had bought a 50hp cat 1-2 machine. I'm sorry, but this just puts another bad mark for dealers on my list or why you don't trust dealers. :(

Yeah it was definitely a strike against my trust for dealers but the whole deal with the 5115M was just a big mess, all I can say is he should have definitely sold me cat 2 attachments instead of cat 1 and saying they are big enough for the tractor. The new dealer that sold me the 6125R is trying hard to get my trust back and so far he has given me no reason to not trust him but understands me being leery and questioning some of what he says.
